Sixth grade Math students polish the skills learned in earlier classes and transition into Middle School / High School mathematics. Students should be able to create and use addition and multiplication tables and will work toward honing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills. They will also continue to work with fractions and decimals and begin to understand fractions as ratios and percentages. New concepts for sixth grade math students include exponents, geometric formulas, basic algebra, statistics, and probability.
